ABSTRACT

This chapter concerns health and one particular aspect of attachment theory, the goal-corrected partnership, which I believe will help develop patient-clinician communication in new directions. In some ways this chapter summarises the previous chapters as they can be applied in a clinical setting. This will include a brief look at the issues raised through the major differences in morbidity and mortality depending on gender and

culture, and the importance of associated attachment strategies for health. My hope would be that Pamela and her offspring could experience goal-corrected partnerships, which ensure their health for generations to come.
