ABSTRACT

In a relatively short time, the group puts its members face to face with themselves, with their shadow, and with their potential depression, which cannot remain masked for long. This phase corresponds to entering the nigredo in the process of alchemical transformation, as mentioned previously. In the silence that often hangs over the beginning of the sessions, it can happen that participants can question their identity, the motivation that pushed them towards the group, and their more or less taken for granted ‘mental health’. Subsequently, serious doubts can begin to come forth.
