ABSTRACT
Micropayment systems differ from other means of payment mostly in their operating costs, which have to be commensurate with the small values handled. To reduce operating costs so the payment system is profitable, various approaches are used, such as service prepayment, reduction of computational load, offline authorization, and grouping of micropayments before financial clearance.
