ABSTRACT
Before an electronic statement or bill reaches a customer, the data for the bill or statement must pass through numerous stages in the complex EBPP process. Statements and bills are not the same. The statement is an itemized listing of purchases, sales, and other activities for a specific account over a specific period of time. While a statement typically specifies an amount due, the statement is differentiated from an invoice or bill in that it does not constitute a request for payment.
