ABSTRACT
Once upon a time there was a king and a queen who had three handsome sons. One day the king and the queen happened to be struck by a serious eye disease. No doctor could help them, and they could find no means to heal this sickness. When the queen went for a walk one time, she encountered a very old woman, who asked for alms. The queen gave her something, and the old woman said, “Your majesty, you have sick eyes, and no doctor can help you. But I know a means to cure you that cannot fail. If you can obtain three feathers from the peacock and rub your eyes with them, you’ll be healed from your sufferings.”
