ABSTRACT
A. Objectives First, farm-level data are needed to investigate factors affecting two measures of performance: relative overall efficiency, and return on assets (ROA).· Factors hypothesized to be associated with differences in relative overall efficiency and ROA include CT and other farming practices, capital structure, and farm operator characteristics. Of particular interest are the effects of CT and crop rotations, which are capable of reducing agricultural pollution in Lake Erie and its tributaries.
