ABSTRACT
The design of pneumatic conveying systems is usually carried out on the basis of scaling data obtained from the pneumatic conveying of the material to be transported. If previous experience of conveying a given material is not available, data is generally derived for the purpose by conveying the material through a test facility, as discussed in detail in the previous chapter. Most manufacturers of pneumatic conveying systems have such test facilities for this purpose.
