ABSTRACT
Since the use of test facilities for obtaining data for pneumatic conveying system design is so important, consideration is given here to the requirements of such a test facility. A detailed specification for all the major components required is given, for a facility capable of testing materials over a wide range of conveying conditions. The specification covers a range of pipeline bores from two to six inches, and the use of such a test facility in determining test data is considered. Consideration is also given to service facilities and material characterization equipment requirements.
