ABSTRACT

Instead of using the major scale, use other sequences. For example, a minor scale, broken chords, or devise your own simple sequence.

Variation 4

Use words with the notes but have one less word than there are notes. For example, in a group of six there would be five notes and four words. The words could form a phrase. For example, ‘Where have you been?’ It may be helpful to speak the text first and then re-introduce pitch at a later stage.
