ABSTRACT
Previous chapters have dealt with MIMO tracking control systems with no external disturbances being applied to the plant. This chapter considers the analysis and design of a MIMO external disturbance rejection control system. Therefore, the first portion develops the necessary equations that take into account the MIMO system's external disturbance inputs. The remaining portion applies this development to a real world application problem.12 Although this chapter addresses the specific aerial refueling problem, the design procedures can be applied to other MIMO external disturbance and tracking/external disturbance problems.
