ABSTRACT
It is not always beneficial to attempt to divide law and legal issues into categories or compartments as, in many cases, it is the overlap of such issues and concerns that is of most interest. However, some classifications are of importance and may be of assistance in describing and applying criminal law. Some significant classifications are considered below.
