Can lawyers predict the outcome o f their cases? In a group o f eighty-four criminal defense lawyers, we found that ju st under h a lf predicted that lawyers would be overcon fident in their chances o f winning. The remainder incorrectly predicted that lawyers would be well calibrated or under confident in their predictions.
