ABSTRACT
Under this subheading, the Code provides that a citizen of an independent Commonwealth country or a national of a foreign state, including the Irish Republic, must be informed, as soon as practicable, of the right to communicate with his or her High Commission, Embassy or Consulate. This right is covered in detail under Section 7 of this Code.
