ABSTRACT
Where it is necessary to remove a detained person’s clothes for investigation purposes, for hygiene or health reasons or for cleaning, that person is to be issued with replacement clothing of a reasonable standard and only when adequate clothing has been offered to the suspect may that person be interviewed. Any replacement clothing issued to the suspect must be recorded.
