ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to give an overview of some of the more important concepts which underlie Australian constitutional law, before dealing with the different organs of government.
The Commonwealth and most State Parliaments have bicameral (that is, two chamber) legislatures, the only exception being Queensland, which is unicameral.
