Defendant’s defence is that money claimed has been paid

If the defendant states this in his defence, the court will send Form N236 to the claimant on which he must indicate whether he wishes the proceedings to continue (r 15.10(1)). The claimant must file at court and serve a copy on the defendant of his response in Form N236 (r 15.10(2)).
