It is on this subject that the 1946 preamble contains the most extensive set of provisions. Thus it guarantees the freedom of, and equality between, workers before their employers (para. 5(1)), the freedom to belong to the trade union of one’s choice (para. 6), the right to strike (para. 7), the right to co-determination in the process of fixing working conditions (para. 8), the right to take part in the management of the firm (para. 8), and the right to professional training (para. 13).
