ABSTRACT
Inflammation of the prostate is a benign condition confined to sexually active men. Though on many occasions difficult to prove by bacteriological studies, it is generally assumed that the condition is, initially, either bacterial or viral in origin and, thereby, relating to contamination by urinary or urethral organisms of the normally sterile prostatic and adjacent ejaculatory ducts.
