ABSTRACT

Ropartz, Paul Le Flem, Paul Dupin, Henri Rabaud, Honegger, Milhaud, and Satie. In a book written a year after his death, Saint-Saëns receives no mention; however, it is strange that composers who are totally forgotten today are given prominence. It shows that by the time of his death Saint-Saëns was not viewed as “modern.”
