ABSTRACT

Listed in this chapter are works that provide information about operatic composition and operatic performance, arranged geographically. The intention is to describe the most significant works that are specifically or primarily concerned with opera in each country (beginning with one region, Latin America). Works of a more general nature, in which some operatic facts may be found, are cited when no specialized publications are available. In some cases such citations are brief, with pointers to more substantial descriptions in IOM or elsewhere.
