ABSTRACT
Many books, especially those published in the United States, keep Potter’s words and reillustrate them. Many of my examples have been published since 1985, but The Tale of Peter Rabbit Animated! (in many ways the most remarkable and bizarre of the lot) was published as long ago as 1943, the year of Potter’s death. I also have a miniature Little Little Golden Book “Little Little Golden Book” version, first published in 1958, republished in 1970, and reissued in its present tiny size in 1993.
