ABSTRACT

If you walk down a street anywhere in the Chinese-speaking world from Beijing to Bangkok to Vancouver, you may notice a small round, hexagonal or octagonal mirror hanging on a building. It may have a yin-yang diagram inscribed on it, or it may be framed by the eight trigrams , or it may be quite plain. Whatever it looks like, you can be sure that someone has put it there to adjust the building’s fengshui by deflecting the flow of sha qi, malign qi.
