ABSTRACT
Chopin’s music has influenced other composers and artists, and tributes to his creativity abound. A limited understanding of his life has caused his many biographers to speculate about his character and relationships. Since his death, Chopin and his music have served as icons of the Polish people. This composer-pianist has become a larger than life legend whose cultural significance is reflected in these citations.
