ABSTRACT
Pulmonary hypertension is a rise in the pulmonary artery pressure above approximately 30/15. This increases the pressures on the right side of the heart and puts strain on the right ventricle. It is very similar to systemic hypertension, but the problem is that there is no medical treatment which will reduce pulmonary hypertension once it has developed.
