ABSTRACT
Hyemeyohsts Storm is the author of Seven Arrows (1972) and Song of Heyoehkah (1981), the first of which inaugurated the Harper & Row Native American Publishing Program and also stirred a controversy which raised fundamental issues regarding historical and ethnographic accuracy in Native American fiction and the rights of Native American authors to represent and interpret tribal religion without tribal authorization.
