ABSTRACT
The diagnosis of a nasal fracture is made clinically in the presence of a deformed nose, but can be confirmed by X-rays. The significance of X-rays is largely medico-legal; they provide objective confirmation of the fracture for court cases. This is, however, an insufficient ground for obtaining them if the diagnosis is clinically apparent.
