ABSTRACT
Salpingitis is the term used to describe an infected fallopian tube. It is estimated that 100,000 women suffer with pelvic infection in the UK every year. The condition is damaging to the tubes. Even after one infection 12% of women will be subfertile, and after two infections this rises to 75%.
