Students appear to be closer in their estimates of the prevalence rates of dishonest acts than are faculty members. Faculty members appear to believe that less than 10%—and closer to zero-of graduate students cheat. This belief does not appear to be realistic, as more than half of the student sample reported engaging in behaviors that range from less severe to very severe types of infractions.
