ABSTRACT

You should compile your own store of precedents which suit your style. Many practitioners photocopy statements of case which they have either drafted themselves or which they come across in practice and keep in an indexed file.A good store of precedents can substantially reduce the amount of time spent constructing the framework of the document. This advice applies not only to statements of case: it is also good practice to keep copies of well drafted trading terms and conditions, exclusion clauses, retention of title clauses, contracts of employment, sale agreements and so on for future reference.
