ABSTRACT
To be brought within the provisions of the Act it is not necessary that fostering arrangements should involve the payment. However, excluded from the Act will be where the child is at boarding school or is being looked after by his or her grandparents. The most common fostering arrangement is where the child is taken into care and the social services agency itself places the child with foster parents.
