ABSTRACT
A county court will be designated as a care centre and a family hearing centre and a divorce centre.
Under its jurisdiction as a care centre, the court may:
• hear all applications under the Children Act;
• hear public law applications transferred from the family proceedings court or the high court;
• give directions in public and private law family cases;
• deal with transfer applications refused by family proceedings courts that have been referred for reconsideration;
• make limited or agreed orders in public and private law cases.
