The enforcement of the community care statutory duties

For aggrieved users of the community care services there lies two routes for enforcement: public and private remedies. Each depends on the circumstances of the complaint and the remedy sought. For instance, for negligence claims the private route would be taken. In contrast, to challenge a decision by a local authority not to provide a service, the alternative public route would be utilised.
