ABSTRACT

Corporate crime is a relatively new topic for criminologists, but legal theorists have travailed over the concept for centuries. Terms such as “organizational deviance” appear frequently in discussions of criminological theory about corporate misbehavior, while the term “corporate offense” appears most frequently in legal discussions. Both sets of terminology refer to conceptually different approaches to the same phenomena.
