ABSTRACT
Case 36: pleural effusion – intercostal nerve damage with pleural biopsy? A 55 year old woman presented with a pleural effusion. Her pleural fluid was aspirated and a pleural biopsy performed. A diagnosis of tuberculosis was made on the basis of the biopsy. She was given the correct anti-tuberculous treatment and recovered.
