ABSTRACT
Writing for online continues to be a challenge for journalists, particularly in sports. There is no definite online writing style. Professionals and academics are unable to agree on what online writing should entail. Changing technology is partly to blame. Resistance to embrace online writing is another. And while we’re trying to figure out the best use of the World Wide Web, sports fans have taken it upon themselves to play “sports writers.”
