ABSTRACT
The neurological system is divided into the central, which consists of the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral, which consists of the nerves to the body and limbs. Medical paediatrics is mainly concerned with the central nervous system, as damage to the peripheral nerves tends to follow trauma or the treatment of trauma so generally is in the domain of the orthopaedic and general surgeons.
