ABSTRACT
Danny’s hand had not improved in the intervening 10 days, despite taking antibiotics. It was, however, less painful and he was able to move his fingers more. Repeat x-ray revealed infection in four of the bones in Danny’s hand (metacarpals), with possible infection of the joints.
