ABSTRACT
In looking at individual statistical tests, I will start with bivariate correlation, which means the correlation between two variables. In my experience, correlation is the most intuitively understandable statistical test for those who are new to statistics because noticing that two properties are related is a common experience for all people. A correlation is thus looking for some relationship, some common variation, between two variables.
