ABSTRACT
Validity is the sine qua non of all assessment data, without which assessment data has little or no meaning. All assessments require validity evidence and nearly all topics in assessment involve validity in some way. Thus, validity gets to the heart or essence of all assessment and is the single most important topic in testing.
