ABSTRACT

In this chapter, as we seek to examine the issues of the qualifications of teachers and the quality of education, we are confronted by questions about our own worldviews and the values implicit therein. For any practitioner, researcher, scholar, or policy-maker in the field of education, this is a journey worth taking as it is at the heart of education. Further, to go down this path is to bring new insights about the nature of human experience and to enrich ourselves intellectually.
