A buffalo scampered out of a hot spring as steam rose in the cold winter air. The camera panned

to snow-covered hills, with tufts of white powder coating the branches of conifers.

“Yellowstone National Park in winter,” declared reporter Natalie Pawelski of CNN

from off-camera. “Hot springs, wildlife in the snow, the hills alive with the sound of

snowmobile” (RTNDA, 2003).
