ABSTRACT

We asked in our opening remarks what do groups, such as African-Americans, Amish, Armenians, Basques, Chadian Catholics, Coptic Orthodox, Hawaiians, Jews, Koreans, Native Americans, Mongols, Muslims, Tibetans, and Ugyurs, have in common and we invited the reader to grapple with this question as he or she reads the many chapters in the book. We hope by now you, the reader, have your own answers. At this point, we want to take the opportunity to tell you what we have learned in this long journey, of which the book is a partial culmination.
