Bourdieu and “literacy education”

The title of this book, Bourdieu and Literacy Education, invites reflection on the ways some of Bourdieu’s key concepts might help us understand particular activities of what we understand to be literacy education. My purpose here is to take one step further back, and use some of Bourdieu’s ideas to ask what “literacy education” means.
