ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses three complex descriptive statistics that did not fit well into the last chapter. They are commonly found in journal articles as measures of reliability or validity and for reducing a large number of related variables to meaningful composite variables. Chapters 8 and 9 in this book provide broader overviews of what we label measurement reliability and measurement validity.
