ABSTRACT

With a theme like “building bridges between disciplines” one might get the impression that the current state is that disciplines are isolated and that the time has come to work on a new infrastructure. Quite often, however, the foundations have already been laid. Economists and psychologists, for example, tend to meet in Europe under the umbrella of economic psychology, and in the United States in behavioral economics. In addition, they publish and discuss their findings in interdisciplinary journals like the Journal of Economic Psychology and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.
