ABSTRACT

Each of us has been working in the area of technology and education in one way or another for the past 15 years. Murray has been responsible for the development and delivery of state-wide professional development (PD) in technology in the classroom across the K-12 perspective. The PD program known as Technology in Learning and Teaching (TILT) has trained 25,000 teachers with the major focus being on skill-training and incorporating Information Communication Technologies (ICT) into the classroom (Murray, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000; Murray & Phillips, 2000; Lenzen & Murray, 2001). Turbill has been interested in two ends of the educational spectrum—integrating technology into the literacy curriculum at the Kindergarten level and creating effective online learning environments at the higher education level (Turbill, 2001a, 2001b, 2003).
