Continue until you have eight different visual thumbnail, or preliminary, sketches that convey the concept of order.
Consider each sketch and select one you think is best. Now, using pencil or a computer, carefully refine and re-create it in a 3-inch-square box on a separate piece of paper. If using pencil, carefully draw the outline of each of the four black squares in the pattern you created that best communicates order. Then go back over the lines in ink and fill in pattern squares with black ink.
