ABSTRACT
By now, we hope you have experienced enough of the excitement thatcomes with the intentional use of intuitive and integrated processes tohave both a sense that they are real and a desire to learn more about them. If a part of you is still a bit skeptical, consider that quite normal. So far, we have primarily used stories and creative exercises to facilitate an introduction to the rational, intuitive, and integrative mind. In this chapter and the next, we present a rational, scientific argument to complement the intuitive processes you have experienced. A historical framework is a good place to begin to situate omniphasic theory within the larger context of communication, art, philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and education.
