ABSTRACT
In chapter 2 (this volume), we addressed people’s reactions as they struggle to adapt to
living and working in an unfamiliar culture. In chapters 3 and 4 (this volume), we
discussed whom to select and how to train people for international assignments. This
chapter focuses on some of the factors affecting cross-cultural adjustment among
expatriates.
