ABSTRACT
All peers are entitled to attend and vote in the House. Before becoming eligible to sit in the Lords, it is necessary to apply for and receive a Writ of Summons. It is expected that Lords who have not taken leave of absence will attend as regularly as possible. The average daily attendance in 2001 was 355, and in 2002, 370.
